Christa Smith lives in the suburbs of Chicago with her husband, 2 sons and their dog. She has loved art since she was young, and she was influenced and encouraged by her grandfather who was an artist himself. She began focusing on drawing people around the age of 11 and picked up oil painting at 14. Christa received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Illustration From Northern Illinois University, and she continues to focus on portrait and figurative work at her home studio in Illinois.
